AI laboratory · Quebec

From wood
to code.

A journeyman carpenter builds AI the way he builds a frame: a plan, tests, something solid. Everything here is tested in the open, and a human holds the controls.

Experiment bays

Each bay is an experiment. It starts as “coming”, moves to “testing”, then becomes “stable”. The lab grows one bay at a time.

03

Lab log

What moved, dated. The wins and the walls we hit.

  1. The jobsite lexicon joins the RAG: “vent hole” finally finds article 9.19.1.2.

  2. Alex gives the Law 25 notice in his first message. Retention set to 90 days.

  3. The Building Code is indexed: 6,104 chunks, bge-m3 embeddings.

The journeyman

Jean-François Raymond

CCQ journeyman carpenter, 20 years on site. Student in interactive AI system design at Collège Grasset. The lab is the workshop where I learn by building and try out what I will later offer to businesses.
